Tablet market is not a priority for AMD

AMD is a company producing processors, which has a fairly long tradition. For a long time (especially in the desktop market) and its products can compete with Intel competitive in both performance and price. But by some strange decisions AMD, the market was very polarized and both companies rather occupy their positions without coming our way. One such decision is to change the company's strategy – Market processors for tablets is no longer a priority for AMD, which in practice can mean the abandonment.

Computer giant motivates his decision too much competition and low margins in this segment of the market. Sales of tablets falls, and the industry is dominated by systems manufactured by Samsung, Apple and manufacturers of low-cost processors in China. The first AMD mobile systems appeared on the market in 2011, but still not on it has made a good reputation. The company will not show in 2015 a new product, however, stipulates that in the event of changes in the market, no problem can come back at him. Instead, the company plans to focus on the market of laptops and hybrid devices. Especially this first attempt to conquer the market seem to be a discussion – for years we hear that companies rather withdraw from the market of laptops in favor of hybrids. Such a decision AMD is definitely not good for consumers, let's hope yet Sunnyville giant verify your strategy. Source: PCWorld
